I email Vimal, CC-ing our Council's E-Champion:
Hi Vimal

Invisible Networks have wireless networks installed in Cambridgeshire. Their
installations are subsidised by the EEDA by a DTI grant for the East of
England.
I may be wrong but MK is not in the East of England. Invisible Networks' web
site doesn't cover MK.
I am awaiting a reply from our council's "e-champion". He'll know which DTI
agency to tackle.

Our E-Champion responds:
Gentlemen
You are correct, MK is not in the East of England Development Agency Area
(EEDA) - we are actually in SEEDA with whom we are developing a potential
wireless broadband solution. However we are part of the East of England
Broadband Group for delivering National Grid for Learning to schools (again a
wireless broadband network with the OU as the 'Hub') and that may form a
pivotal part of what is planned.
Can I suggest you also look at the excellent
East of England Telematics
Trust Site.
Look also at my e-champion site.
I have also asked Steven Jewell (the Head of IT at MK Council) to respond to
you.
